Create your first agent in remoteagent.online

Create a named agent, assign it a device, and give it a model. A short walkthrough of the agent creation form.

Open the form

  1. In the console, click + New Agent (top bar).
  2. Give it a name — something you will recognise in logs.
  3. Leave the device on Cloud or pick a specific device.
  4. Choose a model or leave it on auto.
  5. Optionally add a system prompt, like "you are a careful ops assistant".

What a system prompt does

The system prompt sets standing instructions for every task. Keep it short and behavioural — "double-check before deleting", "prefer short answers" — rather than dumping facts into it.

Capabilities come after

Tools, skills, and shell commands are configured after creation in the agent’s settings (the gear icon). Creation just names the agent and its model.

Verify it

  1. Go to Agents and confirm the new agent is listed.
  2. Open its Chat and send a test message.
  3. If it says "no device", assign one in the agent’s General settings.

Naming tip

Use a role-based name (sentinel, assistant, researcher) rather than "agent1". Logs and audit entries read far better that way.
